Our Story
Whisky 1901 began in 2019 with a focused mission: to bridge the gap between discerning investors and the rare world of Scotch whisky. By specialising in the acquisition and management of premium casks, we quickly established ourselves as a leader in the field.
From Curation to Creation
Today, with over 1,500 casks under management, our foundation remains rooted in an intimate understanding of how the spirit matures over time, ensuring that every drop we oversee reaches its absolute peak potential.
As our expertise deepened, so did our desire to share these exceptional spirits with the world and so our independent bottling line was born. The Whisky 1901 bottling lines are focused on bringing world class single casks directly to the retail market.
Recognised On The World Stage
This evolution from curators to creators was cemented in 2024 with the launch of The Collection, Edition One. Our debut release, a Glenburgie Aged 35 Years secured eight prestigious awards, including five Golds and the title of Best Speyside Single Cask Single Malt at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards.
Writing the Next Chapter
In 2025 we expanded our footprint in the whisky world with two new casks. The Collection continues to showcase rare, ultra-premium gems with Edition Two, a Jura Aged 25 Years, and The Ledger Series which offers a contemporary look at exceptional age-statement malts, with our Miltonduff Aged 18 Years.
